There are a number of ways that JARS is helping the people of Romania. Use the menu on the left to navigate our site and see the work we do.
Jesus and Relief Supplies (J.A.R.S.) is a UK registered Christian charity which has been in existence since 1994, working in and for the Romanian people.
Its work has been varied over the years and is now based around the northern town of Radauţi in the county of Suceava.
J.A.R.S.’ two full-time volunteers, Ian and Sue, have lived in this area since 2006, and are now integrated into the local community. They are involved in teaching English classes to adults and older children as well as being part of a Gypsy Church in one of the local villages. Here they run a weekly “Home Group”-style meeting and teach and encourage the mainly new believers in their faith and everyday lives. Other work includes helping to run children’s camps during the summer months alongside a Romanian Christian foundation based in Radauţi.
As it is able, J.A.R.S. gives financially to various works and projects in the area which come under its jurisdiction, and also supports a Christian School in Iasi, a large city in the north east of the country.
